Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are key to our success
Consider joining our team of volunteers as a member of our board of directors or as someone willing to share your talents and a little time each month in support of FOML programs and projects.

Board Volunteer
FOML has 12-14 officers and directors on its board. The responsibilities of a board member include:
- Attendance at and participation in a Zoom board meeting at 10 am on the first Wednesday of each month (except for July, August and December). Meetings usually last an hour.
- Participation on one or more of the following standing committees (2-5 hours per month): Membership, Communications, Programs, Consulting/Mentoring, Fundraising/Finance, or Grants/Awards.

Project Volunteer
There are other ways for you to support the community of Friends groups without serving on the board. You can choose to serve on one of the standing committees or share your skills in support of ad hoc projects. For example, you might do a little writing or design work. There are always projects that need managing and events that need planning.
Members and prospective members need to be contacted from time-to-time. Or, you might help with research to apply for grants to help fund our initiatives.
